Working Together on Recycling Solutions
We participate in cross-sector projects and professional exchanges concerning the collection, separation and recycling of materials.
ReNewTex is a cross-sector network that brings together companies and organisations from across the textile value chain. Its working groups develop approaches for the collection, separation and recycling of products from the home textiles, mattress, interior shading and solar protection sectors.
ReNewTex is supported by the Kompetenz-Zentrum Textil + Sonnenschutz, which operates under the Interessengemeinschaft der Deutschen Textilindustrie. Three industry associations work together at its office in Wuppertal:
-
Association of the German Home Textiles Industry (Heimtex)
-
German Mattress Industry Association (FMI)
-
Association for Interior Blinds and Solar Shading (ViS)
The network includes member companies of these associations, other manufacturers and suppliers, and organisations working in logistics and recycling. Research institutes contribute scientific expertise to selected topics.
Stendebach is a founding member of ReNewTex. Markus Stendebach also participates in the management of the MRD – Mattress Recycling Germany network and serves as its Deputy Chair.
ReNewTex provides its members with a platform for professional exchange and collaborative work. Five open project groups address different topics and determine their respective priorities and work programmes.
Circular Economy Explained — Five Short Videos
ReNewTex is a cross-sector network whose participants represent different parts of the textile value chain. Five explanatory videos introduce key terms, processes and challenges associated with the circular economy.
The videos are intended for employees, consumers and other interested audiences. They provide introductory information and explain the roles that different participants may assume within the value chain.
