Material Use and Operational Measures
At our sites in Montabaur and at our production facility in Poland, we use defined processes for material recovery, waste handling, quality control and logistics. The individual measures and their scope are described below.
Waterial Use, Coponent Replacement and Waste Handling
We use production processes that allow selected materials and components to be recovered, replaced or reused where technically possible.
+ Suitable production offcuts are returned to the manufacturing process
+ Foam remnants are returned to the supplier and processed into bonded foam
+ Quality checks are carried out at defined stages of the production process
+ Digital document workflows are used in administration to reduce paper consumption
+ Selected modular sleep systems allow individual components to be replaced or upgraded
Collection and Recycling Systems
+ ReNewTex®: take-back and recycling process for selected fibre-based products
+ Interzero/Interseroh: collection and recycling system for participating packaging materials
+ Electrical equipment: disposal in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act and registration requirements of stiftung EAR
Logistics Measures
+Packaging dimensions are selected according to the size of the respective product
+ Shipments are consolidated where operationally possible
+ Routes and vehicle loads are planned to reduce empty journeys and unused cargo capacity
