People at the Heart of Our Company
Stendebach has been manufacturing bedding products and sleeping systems since 1909. During this time, technologies, materials and production methods have changed significantly. Our fundamental approach, however, remains closely connected to the principles of our founder, Lorenz Stendebach: people are at the heart of what we do.
Creating employment and providing people in the Westerwald region with well-made, affordable products for comfortable sleep were important reasons for establishing the company. These principles continue to shape our work today.
As a family-owned company, we value personal relationships, dependable cooperation and a working environment built on mutual respect. Many of our employees have been part of the company for years, contributing their experience and specialist knowledge to our products and production processes.
Our connection to the region also influences how we plan and operate. We invest in training, develop products with a long-term perspective and continuously review our production processes. Direct coordination between development, production and distribution helps us maintain consistent product specifications and respond flexibly to different customer requirements.
Selected products and materials are tested according to the requirements of OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. The respective certification and product scope can be provided upon request.
Individualisation for Today and Tomorrow
A sleeping product can only provide suitable comfort when its construction corresponds to the user’s individual requirements. Drawing on many years of experience, we therefore develop sleeping solutions that offer different configuration and adjustment options.
Modern production technologies allow us to combine elements of traditional manufacturing with digitally supported processes. This enables us to produce different variants and smaller quantities while maintaining defined product specifications.
Modular sleeping systems such as the CAIRONA® air-sprung mattress marked an important step in this development. Its adjustable air core and selectable components allow the comfort configuration to be adapted to individual preferences.
MATYX® extends this approach through digitally supported body measurement and product configuration. Based on the measurement data and selected comfort preferences, the system calculates a suitable mattress configuration from more than 240 million possible combinations. The resulting configuration is then produced according to the defined specifications.
We continue to invest in product development, employee training and flexible manufacturing processes. Our aim is to offer sleeping solutions that can be configured more precisely for different requirements while maintaining reliable production and service processes.
