Our Philosophy
Since more than 100 years our company Stendebach produces beddings. A lot has happened in that period of time, not only in terms of technology. But our philosphy is the same since 1909, completely without brand-conception or image-building-workshops. Rather we try to persue the ideal of the founding generation around Lorenz Stendebach. Because already for him one aspect was clearly in the focus: the human.
The human as center of our behaviour
To create labour as entrepreneurs und provide good, affordable products for their sleep to the people in the Westerwald region, were to important impulses for the founding of the company. And these principles are still followed today.
As a family owned company we stand proudly behind our business. We know every colleague, stand together in tough times and give our best for a sustainable, fair working environment every day. As a medium-sized enterprise we provide jobs as a basis for living in the region, which we consider as our home. As businessmen we feel ourselves in a high social responsibility, which we fulfill self-confidently.
From this environment also our customers take advantage. Long-term conception and strategy, responsible research, development and apprenticeship lead to unique products now and in the future. Short ways, an absolute minimum of production errors and a little number of stations in distribution provide a fair and affordable price for high-quality products.

Individual adaptation as present and future
The best product is without any use, if it doesn’t fit. That’s a fact we know, not least to years of experience. Our long term goal therefore is, to provide the perfect fitting sleeping products to every single customer. We already came far on this long way. Years ago we had divided departments of manufactory and serial production, which today more and more become one thanks to the possibilities of industry 4.0.
Sleeping solutions in modular designs with flexible filling elements such as our air-spring mattress Cairona® were only the beginning of this journey. Our new system Matyx today already provides every single customer his custom made mattress after individual measurement. Out of over 240 million options the perfect mattress gets digitally calculated and is produced within hours after individual needs. Short ways and highly trained staff make it possible.
As a specialist for long-living manufactory-quality, mass customization with smallest lot sizes and just-in-time delivery we look optimistic towards the future. Technological developments will allow us an even more flexible production in the future to manufacture even better adapted products for our customers. A challenge we are looking forward to.
